Powerlifting with Laura

Powerlifting is more than just a sport to me. It’s one of the most empowering things I’ve ever done, and I’m passionate about helping more women discover that strength for themselves.

I’ve competed as a 3-lift athlete in IPF-sanctioned competitions since 2024 and currently rank 7th in Canada in my age and weight class. My long-term goal is to represent Team Canada internationally.

What I love most about powerlifting is that it teaches women to take up space, trust themselves, and build confidence through doing hard things. You do not need to be naturally strong to start. You just need a willingness to learn.

I offer general powerlifting coaching, competition prep, and meet day handling for athletes of all experience levels. Whether you are brand new to the barbell or preparing for the platform, I want to help make the sport feel approachable, supportive, and achievable.

If you’re thinking about signing up for your first meet and don’t know where to start, I’ve also created a comprehensive meet prep guide that includes everything you need to know, plus a rock-solid 16-week meet prep program.
